How it Works - A Step by Step Guide PDF Print E-mail

unemployed.jpgThe first point of contact for the job seeker is the Registrar . The Registrar will sit down with you and give you an outline of the service and ask you some questions to help decide which is the best route for you. Registrars can also provide you with information on your entitlements.

The Registrar will then refer you on to the next point most suited to your requirements, whether its be Employment Mediation, Educational Guidance, Enterprise Service, Training.

The majority of Job Seekers are referred into the mediation service . The Mediator will provide intensive exploration and career guidance.

A mediator will work with you on a one to one basis at your own pace. He/she will help you with the planning of a career path, which will contain the different steps, which will be necessary to assist your return to work. This may include looking at training/education options, help in putting together your C.V., job application letters, improving your interview techniques, and making links with potential employers.
