speedpak.jpg In 1995 the Northside Partnership established Speedpak Limited in collaboration with the local business community and with the support of FAS, the national training and employment authority.

From the very beginning Speedpak was regarded as innovative and unique, because during this period of high unemployment it was the only commercial company providing real work experience, training and a current reference to local unemployed people who lived in disadvantaged communities.

The concept was simple.  It would be easier to progress people into employment once these elements were put in place.  Since its foundation, Speedpak has employed and/or provided work experience and training opportunities to over 400 people living in the area.  It has achieved impressive progression rates in employment, further education and training and personal development.

The Company's income is generated from a combination of its commercial sales and government grants and private corporate sponsorship.  Speedpak is a not for profit organisation with charitable status.  All profits made are reinvested back into the Company.
