Northside Partnership: Enterprise Support Programme For New Micro Business Start-Ups Request To Tender

Introduction

The Northside Partnership is a local development company established by the Irish government in 1991 under the Programme for Economic & Social Progress. Since then it has been working to improve the quality of life of those living within a designated area which stretches from Coolock to Kilbarrack and from Donnycarney to Darndale. In the context of the cohesion Process, the Partnerships catchment area extended southward to the inner suburbs of Marino and Fairview while simultaneously addressing the needs of rapidly developing areas around the M50 in the Northern segment of the current Partnership area.

Current Situation

Since 1991 almost 4,000 unemployed have been supported by the Northside Partnership's Enterprise team. The rapid increase in unemployment has seen a steady increase in the number of social welfare recipients seeking enterprise support and advice from the Partnership.

The Northside Partnership, with funding support from the Department of Social & Family Affairs, wishes to put in place a support programme for enterprise clients who are at the early stages of developing their business concept.

Requirements

We wish to provide 4 x 4 week workshop programmes aiming to accommodate 80 clients (20 clients per workshop programme).

Each 4 week workshop programme will be delivered in the evening as follows:
2 x evenings per week x 4 hours per evening = 8 hours per week x 4 weeks per programme = 32 hours.
The Training Provider should ensure that the programme will be delivered from premises located within the Northside Partnership catchment area.

Date for Receipt of Tender

Tenders should be submitted to Irene Beare, Company Secretary, Northside Partnership, Bunratty Drive, Coolock, Dublin 17 on or before Monday 7th December 2009.
