Through its Education Programme Northside Partnership strives to improve equality of access to, participation in and outcomes from education for learners of all ages resident in the Partnership's catchment area.

The concept of lifelong learning is central to the Partnership's strategy and we believe that learners of all ages and abilities should be able to take part in education and training at a level appropriate to their needs and abilities.  We operate several programmes to enable us to forward this aspiration.

While Northside Partnership has developed good working relations with the schools and training centres in our catchment area over the past 17 years, our focus remains firmly on learners who are experiencing educational inequality. Central to our approach is working closely with existing providers to address areas where needs are not being met or where new needs are emerging. We are aware that despite the excellent work being carried out in the area's schools and centres, a significant number of learners in the area still have needs that are not being adequately met.

In response, the Partnership works with other organisations to develop innovative programmes designed to meet specific educational needs, as well as linking closely with a range of initiatives both locally and nationally that support learners who are encountering barriers in relation to education or training.
