The Partnership was established in 1991 and aims to counter disadvantage and to promote equality and social and economic inclusion within designated disadvantaged catchment areas in Dublin North Central. The Partnership brings together Local Communities, Government Bodies, the Social Partners and Elected Public Representatives in partnership approaches at local level. An Action Plan to counter social exclusion on the basis of comprehensive, integrated, local development plans is developed and while the actions are responses to the multi-dimensional nature of disadvantage, they are grouped into four specific measures:
The Partnership also provides Payroll and Administrative support to 22 community groups and organisations within the catchment area. To maximise resources and impact the Partnership has focused its activities on specific target groups who are marginalised in society. |
