Do you feel like you’re stuck in between a rock and a hard place, where you are struggling to find a job, but are not in a position to go to college to further your skills? An apprenticeship could be the answer for you!

Apprenticeships are a great way for you to enter many different industries:

  • Apprenticeships are structured training programmes let you work towards a qualification, gaining the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in your chosen industry.
  • Apprenticeships give you hands on training and experience and help you to gain more confidence in a working environment.
  • You earn while you learn. No student loans or fees necessary. You’ll be paid a salary by your employer (check www.apprenticeship.ie for industry rates) and the costs of training are likely to be covered by the government
  • There are hundreds of types of apprenticeships. If you are thinking of a career in businessmechanicsmarketing, beauty or construction, there’s something for everyone.
  • Apprenticeships offer a varied learning experience as you’ll combine your time working and learning.

With this in mind we would like to invite you to attend an Apprenticeship Fair on Tuesday 17th April between 10 AM and 1 PM where you can speak to potential employers and training providers about the vast array of existing and new apprenticeship programmes that are available in our area.

Given the current government policy focus on promoting apprenticeships, with 27 apprenticeship schemes now on offer in Ireland, and a target to see 50,000 apprenticeship and traineeship registrations by 2020, these are rapidly growing and attractive career paths for a significant cohort of our young people and adults.

A wide range of companies will be at the fair – whether you are interested in accounting, mechanics, technology, hairdressing, catering or engineering – come along!

Companies that will be in attendance include but are not limited to:

  • CDETB
  • Crumlin College of Further Education
  • Designer Group
  • Discovery Centre
