Discover Opportunities at the Darndale Community Fair

Residents from Darndale, Belcamp, Moatview and surrounding communities are invited to attend the third annual Belcamp-Darndale-Moatview Community Fair, taking place on Thursday, 14 May 2026 at the Darndale Belcamp Village Centre.

Running from 12.00pm to 4.00pm across the Village Centre campus, this year’s Community Fair promises to be bigger and more interactive than ever. The event will highlight the wide range of local services, supports and opportunities available to individuals and families living in the area.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet with organisations and agencies working in education, employment, health and wellbeing, legal services, youth work, childcare and rehabilitation. Local leaders and community groups will also be on hand throughout the day to provide information, answer questions and help residents connect with the supports available to them.

The Community Fair is organised by Northside Partnership’s Empowering Communities team in collaboration with Darndale Belcamp Village Centre.

Dr Jack Nolan, Chair of the Darndale Together Implementation Oversight Group, said the event continues to grow in impact each year.

“The Fair is a fantastic opportunity to discover the many positive pathways and supports available, and to see first-hand the strength and potential within the community.”

Nicko Murphy, CEO of Darndale Belcamp Village Centre, highlighted the value of bringing organisations and residents together.

“This event brings together the many organisations working across the community in one welcoming space. It offers a valuable opportunity for people to explore employment, education and training options, while also learning about the supports available. I would encourage everyone in Darndale, Belcamp and Moatview, as well as neighbouring areas such as Coolock, Kilmore, Clongriffin and Belmayne to come along and be part of the day.”

Ger Nolan, Empowering Communities Coordinator with Northside Partnership, said the event plays an important role in making local opportunities more visible.

“There are so many opportunities within the community, and this event helps to make them more visible and accessible. We are really looking forward to bringing people together again for a day of connection and celebration.”

Dearbháil Butler, Team Leader of Northside Partnership’s Empowering Communities team, said this year’s event will build on the success of the previous two fairs.

“The last two Community Fairs have been hugely positive and this year we are building on that momentum. We are expanding the offering to create an even more vibrant and engaging experience. There will be music, raffle prizes, free treats and, hopefully, sunshine alongside a great sense of community spirit. We would love to see as many people as possible come along and get involved.”
