Our Preparing for Life Early Years Education team was delighted to celebrate this year’s Building Big Futures Graduation in the Coolock Library recently.

The graduation ceremony celebrates the amazing work each of our services have completed while taking part in various components of the Building Big Futures professional development programme.

Six local early-years services engaged with the Building Big Futures professional development programme this year. We are delighted to have an astounding 76 graduates this year also!

Babies have mental health too and we can support it!   Preparing for Life’s next Building Babies from Head to Toe workshop takes place on 24th of March 2025. Preparing for Life Announces Growth of Home Visiting Programme to Benefit More Families Across Ireland Northside Partnership is excited to announce the expansion of its Preparing For Life Home Visiting Programme, which will be extended to additional sites across Ireland over the coming months. Building on the success of its nine existing locations, the programme will soon be available to families in community sites in  Clare and Roscommon, with additional home visitors joining the team to support more families in Galway and North Dublin.

Early Years Educators from Bunratty Community Childcare, Darndale Belcamp Integrated Childcare Service (Jigsaw), Doras Buí, Edenmore Early Education Centre, Kilbarrack Foxfield Preschool, Moatview Early Education Centre and Bonnybrook Early Education were invited to their graduation from Preparing for Life’s Building Big Futures programme in Coolock Library on Wednesday 5th June.

Preparing For Life Early Years’ Storytime on Near FM

Stacy Hevey, Early Years Mentor & Programme Officer with Preparing for Life Early Years Education team, spoke to Donie Tarrant on Near FM about Storytime, a programme that encourages families to read more books with their children. Storytime is a collaboration between Preparing for Life Early Years Education, Marino Institute of Education and Coolock Library. Reading and talking about books together encourages the child’s development and supports the relationship between child and caregiver. The programme runs twice a year with local Early Years Services and primary schools who recruit 60 families.
