Stacy Hevey, Early Years Mentor & Programme Officer with Preparing for Life Early Years Education team, spoke to Donie Tarrant on Near FM about Storytime, a programme that encourages families to read more books with their children. Storytime is a collaboration between Preparing for Life Early Years Education, Marino Institute of Education and Coolock Library. Reading and talking about books together encourages the child’s development and supports the relationship between child and caregiver. The programme runs twice a year with local Early Years Services and primary schools who recruit 60 families. You can listen back here
