Northside Partnership Celebrates Refugee Week

Sphere 17 Priorswood played host to the launch of A Taste of Home, a collection of recipes from around the world created by refugees living in Northeast Dublin, in celebration of Refugee Week Ireland 2024.

When people are far from home, there is much that they miss: family, friends, food, culture. For refugees living in direct provision, while meals are provided, they have no opportunity to cook their own food, to use ingredients and flavours from home.

Northside Community Forum Statement March 2024

The Northside Community Forum is a membership-based community network of over 50 local community-based organizations and groups operating in Dublin City Council’s North Central administrative area.

Our mission is to build a working relationship between the community and voluntary sector and other relevant stakeholders with a view to strengthen the voice of our community and to improve the quality of life for all.

Today we find ourselves working in a context in which global poverty and inequality is rising and services essential to addressing poverty and inequality in Ireland have been critically underfunded since the economic crash of 2008.

The Northside Community Forum is a network of Local Community Groups that work in Dublin North-East. We collectively develop actions, campaigns and work on issues affecting the community and community-based organisations.

Following the protests that we have seen over the last weeks in Artane and Coolock, members of this  forum listed below, want to express our solidarity with the communities in Dublin North – East as we condemn the hatred expressed towards people seeking refuge and seeking asylum.
